Humane Education
At PALS, we feel it is our obligation to foster kindness, responsibility and civic engagement in future generations. We instill and cultivate these positive characteristics through our humane education programs. At PALS we recognize that the key to ending the cycle of pet overpopulation and neglect is by educating future pet owners. PALS is teaching responsible and compassionate pet care and these are valuable lessons that will last a lifetime.
In our mission to teach kindness and empathy toward animals, we work with hundreds of school children, Boy Scouts and other youth groups. PALS humane educators visit schools, the local Nature Center and area libraries in order to reach youth from diverse backgrounds.
PALS aims to not only improve the wellbeing of animals, we also focus on keeping people safe. PALS encourages students and their parents to interact safely with animals by teaching them methods of bite prevention and safe animal interaction.

If you would like to have a humane educator meet with your youth group, let us know by emailing us at pal@preventalitter.com or call us at (512) 754-PALS (7257).
