Clinic Services

Weekly spay/neuter clinics are held at the PALS facility at 8401 Ranch Road 12, San Marcos TX 78666. Check the events calendar or PALS Facebook for current schedule dates.

  • Microchips save lives — lifetime registration included with surgery
  • Rabies vaccination required by Texas law unless a current certificate is presented at drop-off
  • Dogs: Age 4–5 months minimum
  • Cats: 3–4 months, minimum 3 lbs
  • Services held weekly — check calendar for next available date

Service Area

Anyone can use our low-cost services. Vouchers are limited to Hays County residents, but may extend to other counties as funding permits.

Funding & Grants PALS receives major grants from Hays County and the City of San Marcos, which help keep prices affordable for the community.
Can't afford the fee? Income-eligible residents can apply for a voucher. Eligibility includes low-income, unemployed, medical hardships, Medicaid/SNAP/SSI recipients, and TEXCAP income guidelines. Apply for a Voucher →

Vaccination, Microchip & Appointment Clinics

In addition to spay/neuter surgeries, PALS provides vaccination and microchip appointments. We also hold a once-monthly walk-up vaccination clinic. Microchips come with lifetime registration — a one-time fee that could save your pet's life.
